Limited Warranty
All Ghost Lab Acoustics instruments are built to the highest level of craftsmanship and are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the original retail purchase date, subject to the terms, exclusions, and limitations outlined in this Warranty.
This Warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser, is non-transferable, and requires valid proof of purchase issued directly by Ghost Lab Acoustics LLC or an authorized Ghost Lab Acoustics retailer.
1.0 What This Warranty Covers
This Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that arise during normal, responsible use of the instrument when maintained within all environmental care requirements, including temperature and humidity ranges as specified in Section 4.0.
Ghost Lab Acoustics will, at its sole discretion:
Repair the instrument,
Replace the defective part(s), or
Replace the instrument with one of equal or greater value if repair is not reasonably possible.
All replacement decisions and repair methods are determined solely by Ghost Lab Acoustics LLC.
2.0 Warranty Periods by Product Category
Instruments (complete guitars) — 1 year
Hardware (pickups, tuning machines, switches, wiring components, metal hardware, etc.) — 1 year
Parts (bodies, necks, backplates, etc.) — 1 year
General merchandise (shirts, stickers, etc.) — 30 days
Strings — No warranty. Strings are consumable items and are not covered.
No other warranty periods apply unless explicitly issued in writing by Ghost Lab Acoustics LLC.
3.0 Professional Use Clause
Ghost Lab Acoustics instruments are engineered for serious musicians, including studio professionals, touring players, and those who practice intensively.
Professional or commercial use does NOT void this Warranty.
However, the Warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
Neglect, abuse, improper handling, or unsafe transport
Transport or storage in uncontrolled environments
Impact, drops, crushing, or improper shipping
Extreme or rapid changes in temperature or humidity
Failure to maintain the instrument within all environmental care requirements
When cared for properly, Ghost Lab Acoustics instruments are designed to last generations.
4.0 Environmental Care Requirements (Warranty Eligibility)
Ghost Lab Acoustics instruments must be stored, transported, and used within:
Temperature: 65°F to 77°F (18°C to 25°C)
Relative Humidity: 40% to 60%
Failure to maintain these conditions can cause wood movement, finish checking, fret sprout, cracking, warping, or structural changes.
Any damage resulting from environmental exposure is not covered under this Warranty.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Unheated or uncooled vehicles
Basements, attics, garages, sheds, storage units
Outdoor stages
Direct sunlight
Rapid temperature/humidity transitions
Exposure to excessively dry or humid environments
5.0 Exclusions – What This Warranty Does NOT Cover
This Warranty does not cover:
Damage from misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, or improper operation.
Damage from environmental exposure (temperature, humidity, sunlight, storage conditions).
Wood-related changes, including:
Fret sprout
Neck relief drift
Action changes
Swelling or shrinking
Minor cracks or grain movement
Finish checking or clouding
Playability issues caused by setup preferences, including buzz, action height, intonation, relief, or personal feel.
Normal wear and tear, including:
Fret wear
Finish wear
Scratches
Plating wear
Corrosion
Nut/saddle wear
Any modification or alteration, including drilling, routing, electronics changes, pickup swaps, fretwork, refinishing, or third-party repairs or adjustments.
Damage caused by shipping, including return shipments not approved by Ghost Lab Acoustics.
Damage from using non-approved cleaners, oils, solvents, or polishes.
Damage resulting from failure to follow Ghost Lab Acoustics care instructions.
Cases, gig bags, straps, tools, or included accessories, which are considered separate products with no warranty unless stated otherwise.
6.0 Shipping & Inspection Requirements
The original purchaser is responsible for safe packaging, full insurance, and pre-paid shipping to Ghost Lab Acoustics.
Do not ship instruments without written Return Authorization. Any unapproved shipment may be refused.
Upon completion of approved warranty repair, Ghost Lab Acoustics will return the instrument at our cost only if the issue was covered under warranty.
If no defect is found—or if the issue is not covered under this Warranty—the owner is responsible for return shipping.
7.0 Limitation of Liability
Ghost Lab Acoustics LLC shall not be liable for:
Special, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
Loss of use
Loss of profits
Loss of business
Personal injury
Claims arising from the performance or non-performance of the instrument
The maximum liability of Ghost Lab Acoustics LLC shall not exceed the original purchase price of the instrument.
Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties; in such cases, the above limitations may not apply.
8.0 How to Obtain Warranty Service
To initiate a warranty claim, contact:
Provide:
Your full name
Proof of purchase
Serial number
Detailed written description of the issue
Clear photographs or video showing the concern
Ghost Lab Acoustics will review your case, issue Return Authorization if appropriate, and provide instructions for shipment.
No Representative Authority
No dealer, retailer, or other individual has authority to modify or expand this Warranty.
Only written statements issued by Ghost Lab Acoustics LLC are valid.
